We have covered so much ground in such a short time, the Lord is speaking so much, I honestly do not know where or even how to start! For once in my life, and anyone who knows me will be shocked, lol. We have covered the team and the individual members of the team at reasonable length, but what i am being impressed with now and itâs been on my mind is the question âonce we embrace the new design of Church, what is that going to look like?â
That is a really good and valid question because the paradigm of Church must shift collectively first before we can even begin really to break down the new dynamics of the Church as Ekklesia. I have been sensing for some time now that this paradigm shift is gaining traction all across the land, but there is still so many more who need to catch on.
I discern though as the ones who are in the shift, as they get stronger and more acclimated in the newness, that like any small fire begins, it will grow, I am very certain of that. But in all fairness to the question the best answer I can even attempt to give is what God is doing in my ministry at Made in the Fire Ministries.
The vision was given in 1989, but God shaped me for an additional 35 more years, so that in 2015, after God gave me a vision and a metaphor of the fire, Made in the Fire Ministries was becoming in its infancy stage. Itâs hard to believe that in 8 short years, but it seemed like the longest 8 years of my life, the ministry is now birthed. I give God all the glory for this.
Before I begin, scripture says âWho redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;â Psalms 103:4, this is the basis scripture for this ministry. Stay with me, I am going somewhere here. I have lived this out, and I can say if God did it for me, He can do it for you too! I am one who is Made in the Fire first, and now I am lit, God wants others to catch it as well. In the formative years, I had to learn many dynamics of ministry and many expressions of it as well.
Like Jesus, like Moses, like Joshua and Caleb, like Joseph, like David, and like many more, before God brings about your prophecy of destiny, you must embrace your process of destiny first. Itâs a process indeed for sure, but itâs necessary in order for a person to be formed in Christ correctly. With that said, having an understanding of the old way of doing things, God told me in January of 2020, you must embrace the new for the old ways of doing ministry will not work in the new.
Writing my thesis recently, those words rang ever so true as I attempted twice before to disciple people using good material, but borne in the old, those groups fell apart. In despair, I cried out to God, and He answered about halfway through my thesis as he had me pause it and anointed me to write a six-month three books discipleship course in three weeks! The fourth week it was ready for publication! Iâve heard of the scribal anointing but never experienced it until then, wow is all I can say.
The new certainly has come, as I finished up with that thesis and my entire way of thinking about ministry has changed! Discipleship in the New Era is a dynamic 3 phase process that forms Christ in you and builds on that. It is not informative by no means; it is meant to cultivate a hunger in a person to be filled with all of God. The results are beginning to bear fruit even in the infancy stage. This stuff works.
With that said, Made in the Fire Ministries is an Apostolic/Prophetic Hub but not a Church, it consists of a Church meaning we as Christians are the Ekklesia, a governing body of people with legislative authority from Jesus sent out into every sphere of society to work with the apostle and prophet and teacher (1 Cor. 12:28) to transform it as the Kingdom of God through them advances. I burn with this desire.
A Church (please see my previous posts concerning Pastoral vs. Apostolic) has many, many departments and functions much like a general hospital, whereas a hub is not so. Much like a specialized unit with its limited functions in perspective to the Church, the Hub delivers a wallop in the area of its specialty. Now, each hub, and there are many dotted all over the place, are positioned by Christ, and anointed in a specific region to not only transform that region, but the Churches within that region.
Much like going to a Chiropractor, it takes one doctor to get the whole body aligned through series of treatments, the same applies here to the Hub as well. Made in the Fire Ministries is Apostolic and Prophetic, but our emphasis is discipleship. There are many forms of it, however not every Church goer is a disciple of Christ. Itâs a commitment and itâs a lifestyle and once engaged, you must never turn back, ever.
There will be evangelism, but as the Lord dealt with me specifically in 2015, the way we will evangelize will be different. In the past, we would pass out tracts, and minister, and work the fields, but with us, the difference is us being made in the fire (or rather presence of God), they will come to us! How is this so? God got Mosesâ attention through the burning bush, didnât he? God spoke, Mosesâ life was forever changed insomuch that later on, as Moses came down from the maintain Sinai, they had to put a veil over his face because it was too bright to look at. This is the same idea.
As my mentor says âthere is no greater witness than a transformed life.â This saying was the icing on the cake, I finally understood what God was showing me in 2015. Adopting Watchman Neeâs principle of discipleship where everyone goes through the training and then go makes them disciples one at a time, but the catch is they will spend time with them one on one and give the newborn the attention they deserve.
Imagine that! Imagine that everyone will have the things of God explained from the get-go. Once the newborn is birthed, they will come to services, this is where it will seem like regular Church. They will grow and develop independently and corporately at the same time and as they mature, the gifts within them will begin to manifest, we will have classes setup to teach just that.
With the hub model, the 5-Fold will be in full operation so that each person can be well rounded. Whatever the gifting is, each 5_Fold âdirectorâ will train classes per their gifting and calling. In a nutshell, as those in the ministry grow in the Lord, they will gravitate towards the gifting they are gifted with at that season of their lives to receive the vital nutrition they need to become strong. As this happens, God developing them in the process, they will be serving in some capacity or another as need arises as well as discipling new infant in Christ.
Point is, thereâs more work to be done than a little bit! As the Hub grows through those who are maturing, they will be sent out as they are led of the Lord. My goal is to impart this vision into every soul that is part of the hub â I want to have the emptiest building on the street!â Why? Because they all will be on fire reaching the community where they live. When we see it like that, one will begin to realize just how much work there is to do.
Do you now see why the Apostles had to stop working to give full attention to the ministry of the word and prayer? This is why the 5-Fold is the gifts of Christ because it is governmental in nature. It models that of the Levites who were not entrusted with an inheritance because the Lord was their portion. The tithing system was to take care of them and the things of God, and I foresee that as we all align in this paradigm shift that that concept will become the most prevalent of all and as in the book of Acts, they all had everything in common and no one lacked!
I think this just about does it for now, if this has blessed you, will you consider giving a gift of any size so we can continue to provide you with practical and relevant teaching and preaching? W really appreciate you and thank you in advance. May God bless you richly!
