Greetings in the name of Jesus!
This is the single most important decision of your life! It’s not getting married, what to buy, where to go, but it’s about having eternal life. Friend God loves you! Make no mistake about it, in fact, God is crazy about you. The Father paid a very costly price for you, Jesus. Knowing that Jesus cannot die, spiritually, the Father turned his back on Jesus at the cross just for you and I because Jesus took your sin and mine upon himself.
1. God loves you
John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.
Because God love you and I so much, the Father gave us Jesus so when we put our child like faith in what Jesus did on the cross, the Father accepts us as His own.
2. You are guilty of sin
Isaiah 53:6 – “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him — the iniquity of us all”.
The word “iniquity translates into willful wrongdoing, basically, we sin because we want to, therefore, we are guilty before God.
3. God paid the ultimate price to redeem us
1 Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose — stripes ye were healed”.
Jesus became our sin bearer. This means Jesus paid a price literally impossible for us to pay. On Jesus’ merit, through acceptance and personal invitation, the Father sees your sin – no more.
4. The Choice is Yours
Romans 10:9-10 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”.
Your confession of Jesus Christ is a direct result of faith working in your inner most being. You speak (confess) your salvation into existance. The Father then sees what you have done and completly wipes all stains of sin away from your slate. He remebers what you have done, no more. The is the gospel of Jesus.
Romans 1:16,17 – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith”.
Will You Be Saved?
The Holy Spirit is calling you right now, your heart is beating, you feel as if this is the moment of truth as if the spot light was on you. Not far from the truth either, because all of heaven is waiting for your decision. If you want Jesus Christ AND the forgiveness of sins, then pray this prayer to ask Jesus into your heart and life. Ready? Let’s go!
Repeat these words but mean it in your heart talking to the Father just you and him:
Heavenly Father, I have sinned. I know I do wrong and sometimes I do not know why.
I humbly ask you to forgive me and all I have done. I ask you Jesus to come into my heart and life,
please save me and please write my name in the Lambs’ book of life. I ask that you will take over,
and be my Lord, and Master, and Saviour. I ask that you will clean me up from the inside out.
Thank you for saving me, Jesus. Amen.
That’s it! You are now forgiven and are now a child of God. You are now in Heaven’s registry as being a citizen of the Kingdom of God. You have rights, and privileges as a son/daughter of the King. I would like to send you some literature to help you on your journey. Your first few steps are the most important ones.
1. Go and tell at least 3 people that you just have accepted Christ nto your life. It may not seem like important, but it is.
2. Pray, seek God’s face and read His word.
3. Seek by asking God for a church you can call home.
4. Tell the Pastor your decision and ask to be enrolled into discipleship class. (Discipleship is a systematic way of the teachings of Jesus).
